December Calendar

U have continued to make a calendar at the beginning of the month in order to record what I will need to post by the end of the month. I have continuously referred back to this to ensure that all posts are uploaded on or before their dedicated day.

I also noticed that I had not included a page number for the contents page, I have now changed this and placed it at the bottom left corner of the page in grey so it corresponds with the rest of the conventions for the magazine.

I have now also changed more colours on the Contents Page. The poster feature information now has a different colour for the main aspects as this helps to make them stand out while still corresponding with the magazine's codes and conventions.

I have also changed the colour for the Editor's note as it is now clearer and easy to read because the blue, which I previously used, was very light and blended in easily with the other shade of blue that is featured.

I have also added information about the website on the Contents Page which gives the reader an extra link to the magazine alongside all of the social media links which are also placed at the bottom of the page. The colours for these have also been changed to create a clearer and more professional looking magazine.

I have now changed the colour of the captions on each image so they correspond with my magazine colour scheme. When I changed the colours, two of the captions could not be seen as clearly as I wanted so I changed the position of them to make them clearer and easier to read and understand.

I have changed the Editor's note that is at the bottom of the page, Previously, it included more information about what was included in this issue but from reading other Editor's notes, I have found that they usually include information about the company rather than the magazine itself. To correspond with these features, I have changed the note to include more information about the company rather than the magazine.

I also noticed that I had not provided any information about the Editor except for a image. I have since changed and added a signature.

As I changed the colours on the front cover, I have also changed the colours on the Contents Page to show continuation throughout whole magazine. 

I have began by changing the colours for the information regarding each page in my magazine. I changed it so the main feature is in dark grey and the information is in light blue as it makes the whole text stand out more which is what I need my magazine to do.

I have also changed the colours of multiple boxes on the page so they all correspond with the colours that I am using instead of the purple colour scheme. 

November Calendar

This is the calendar that I have produced at the start of the month to aid me in keeping track of the posts that I need to upload. In doing this, it has reminded to post throughout the production process to ensure that all changes have been clearly recorded.

Front Cover Progress

When looking at my magazine, I have found that there was a gap between one of the sell lines and the  main sell line that made the magazine look uneven. I have decided to add another sell line to fill the gap and this makes the magazine look more organized and tidier.

I have also changed the positioning of the main sell line and the information regarding it. I have made it bigger thus it stands out more in comparison to the rest of the text that is included on the page. I have rearranged the images on the right side of the magazine to move them further up therefore, leaving more room for the main sell line and it's information.

I have also removed the boxes from behind the images as I found that it secluded them from the rest of the magazine and made it looked more untidy and stopped the magazine from flowing nicely on the front page. As it was causing the front page to be messy, it would not appeal to the target audience as they would not like to buy a magazine that was untidy and unappealing as they would expect it to be the same way throughout the res of the magazine.

I have changed the color scheme for my magazine. When I had completed the magazine previously, I found that it looked untidy and very dark which was unappealing and would not stand out on a shelf. I have changed the colors to various shades of blue and grey which brings out the eyes of the model. In doing this, I have been able to change the aura that the magazine gives off to one of a lighter and cooler feel. I have also found that in doing this, It stands out more and is also easier to read as the previous dark colors made it difficult to distinguish different parts. 

Also, when rereading the text include, I found multiple spelling mistakes that would not be seen if the magazine were to be professionally published. I have changed these to make the magazine mrs appealing. 

April Calendar

This is the calendar i created at the start of April allowing my to keep track of what posts needed to be uploaded. By doing this, I have been able to keep track of my posts as to not fall behind or miss any crucial posts out.

I have then gone on to change the way that the pictures have been placed. The way it was before, the images seemed to blend in together however, I thought this did not look professional enough. I have added an outline to each of the images to make it seem as though the images have been separated. I think this makes the images look more professional and organised.

When looking at my Contents page, I found that the key parts to the information did not stand out as much as I wished. I changed the colour of the main parts of the information to a red which made them stand out more in comparison to the rest of the information in a dark purple.

January Calendar

This the Calendar that I created at the beginning of January. I have kept track of the posts that need to be uploaded and ensured to carry this action out on the day that I previously planned.

DPS Progress

I have recently realized that I did not include a caption for the photo on the DPS. I have since changed this to ensure that there is a one featured.

Once again, I have added the red to this page. This makes the magazine have consistency and look professional. The red that has been added has made key points stand out particularly the introductory paragraph. Many often miss out this paragraph but the use of the colour red makes it stand out encouraging the reader to ensure to read the entire article rather than certain points. 

I also changed the credit notes to be vertical on the right side of the page as this is where they are more often seen so it has a better consistency.

The colour of the page numbers has also been altered as they did not stand put very well in the darker purple colour.

I have added an extra colour to my contents page as I thought that the colour scheme was to strict making the magazine look boring. I have used the same red which is featured on the front cover to show consistency making my magazine look more professional.

I have also moved the left side further along as i felt that there was an uneven gap from the edge of the page to the box in comparison to the page and the box on the right side. 

Moving the pictures around slightly has made the magazine look more consistent and organized. 

I found that the information on the contents page was not consistent and looked as though it had a messy alignment. I ensured that they were all in line which made it look as though it were more professional and organized. 

The banner at the bottom of the page has been changed. This is because the devious information was more often seen on the front cover and vice versa. I decided to change the banner to include the social media links which are more often seen on the contents page.

I have chaned the amount of boxes that I have used on the front cover as I believe it looked as though it was too organized and it was also difficult to ensure that all of the boxes were aligned correctly.

I have also changed the colour of the extra cover lines as without the boxes, the dark purple text was very difficult to read.

I also rearranged the pictures and text so the gaps between each one is even making it look more professional.

I have also changed the colour of the captions on the photos to include another colour in my colour scheme which also made them stand out more. The colour I have used is the same one used for the extra cover lines but I have made the caption size smaller to ensure that they don't stand out as much as the cover lines.

I have also added an extra cover line on the left as I felt that it looked very heavy on the right and quite empty on the left.

I changed what is on the banner at the top of the magazine as well as I looked at other magazines that I used for information and none of the ones I looked at featured social media links on the front page. They're more often seen on the contents page and the banner on the contents page was more often seen on the front cover.

Due to having a very strict colour scheme, I previously only included the six different colors. However, this made my magazine look quite boring and it didn't appear to stand out the way I wanted it to. In order to change this, I added a red colour, the same colour as the lipstick, to give the magazine more variety and look better overall.

I also added an extra cover line to the left side of the magazine as I felt that it looked as though it were empty and uneven due to the amount of text and images that could be found on the other side of the magazine.

I've changed the strap line at the top of the front cover to include some more features of the magazine rather than the internet links that were previously there as I felt they would work better on the contents page.

Lesson Plan

Dring today's lesson, I plan to add some changes to my front cover, contents page and dps. I am going to add another colour to the magazine as the color scheme is to strict so another colour is required.
